These common record grades are a reference, not a Reloop inspection. Sellers describe their own items. Reloop’s general listing conditions, including “Good”, do not automatically mean the equivalent vinyl grade.

Ask for the label, catalogue number and runout markings. Compare those details with a release reference; cover art or an old copyright date alone does not prove an original pressing.
Find out whether both sides were played and whether there are clicks, skips or distortion. A visual inspection alone cannot confirm how a record sounds.
Request clear photos under good light. Look for scratches, warping and sleeve damage, and check whether any inserts or obi strip are included.
Compare the same edition and condition, ideally using recent sold prices. A high asking price does not establish value; account for delivery costs too.
Arrange a suitable public meeting place, inspect the item before paying, or agree packing and delivery directly with the seller. Avoid leaving records in hot cars or outside.

VG+ means Very Good Plus on the widely used Goldmine grading scale. A record may show light scuffs or slight wear that should not noticeably affect listening. Ask whether it has been play-tested and request clear photos. Sellers describe their own items; Reloop does not independently grade records, and a listing’s general condition label is not a vinyl grade.
There is no single price for a used record. Value depends on the exact pressing, demand, record and sleeve condition, and any included inserts. Compare recent sold prices for the same edition and grade where available, rather than relying only on asking prices. Include delivery costs when comparing a local copy with one sold elsewhere.
Keep records upright in protective sleeves in a cool, dry indoor space with a stable temperature. Avoid direct sunlight, heat sources, hot cars and outdoor storage. Do not stack records flat or pack them so tightly that they bend. For delivery, use a sturdy record mailer and arrange prompt indoor receipt rather than leaving the parcel outside.
