How to Sell Used Items in Dubai

Reloop is a community marketplace for second-hand Dubai. List furniture, electronics, phones, fashion, beauty, collectibles and other permitted personal items — take a photo and Reloop helps you build the listing.

Sell in 5 steps

  1. 1. Take clear photos

Daylight, plain background, the whole item in frame. Photos come first on Reloop — there is no long form before you start.

  2. 2. Set a realistic AED price

Look at what similar items are actually listed for right now, then decide your number. You always set the price.

  3. 3. Describe condition honestly

Say what works, what is worn and what is included. Surprises at handover are what kill deals in Dubai.

  4. 4. Chat and agree handover

Buyers message or make an offer. Agree price, timing and where you are meeting — all inside Reloop chat.

  5. 5. Complete the deal

Meet, check the item together and settle payment directly between you. Then mark the listing sold.

What sells well in Dubai?

People move in and out of Dubai constantly, so the things that move fastest are the things a new arrival needs on day one.

Selling a car is a separate flow

Cars are not listed like a sofa or a phone. Reloop Cars asks for year, mileage, specification and origin, and shows the deal stages between you and the buyer.

How to price used items

Compare live listings, not old receipts

Search Reloop for the same model or a close match and see what people are asking today. What you paid two years ago is not the market.

Condition moves the number most

Sealed, barely used, visible wear and needs repair are four very different prices for the same product.

Brand and exact model matter

“iPhone 13 128GB” or “IKEA MALM king bed” gets found and compared. “Phone” or “bed for sale” does not.

Your timeline is part of the price

Flying out in two weeks? Price to move. No deadline? Hold your number and wait for the right buyer.

No comparables means no fake guide price

Reloop's seller insights only compare your listing when there are enough similar live listings to compare against. When there are not, it says so rather than inventing a market price.

Once a listing is live, My Listing Insights shows its real views, saves, offers and messages, so you can tell whether the price or the photos are the problem.

Photos that help items sell

  • Shoot in daylight, near a window, with the flash off.
  • Front, back and both sides — buyers assume anything you hide is damaged.
  • Close-ups of scratches, stains, dents or a cracked corner.
  • Photograph the model or label where it is printed, and blur or crop anything personal such as a serial on a document.
  • Include the box, charger, cables, fittings or spare buttons in one shot.
  • Never crop or filter a defect out. It only reappears at handover.

Pickup, delivery and payment

  • Reloop does not process payments between buyers and sellers today, and there is no escrow or buyer protection. You settle directly with each other.
  • Reloop does not book couriers either. If the item needs transport, agree between you who arranges and pays for it.
  • Keep the whole conversation — price, timing, address — inside Reloop chat, so there is a record if something goes wrong.
  • For small items, meet somewhere public and busy. For bulky furniture, confirm building access, the service lift and any move-out permit before anyone commits.

Read the full safety guidance and the prohibited items list before you list.

Selling before you move?

A moving sale in Dubai usually means an entire apartment in three weeks. Instead of posting a dozen unconnected ads, group everything into one Moving Sale with your handover date, so buyers can see what is going and when — and often take several pieces in one trip.

Staying safe and private

Your nickname is what people see

Reloop shows a public nickname. Your legal name, email, phone and any identity details stay private and are never shown on your listings.

Verification is a trust layer, not a guarantee

Members can complete an in-app check and show a Verified badge. It is not a government identity confirmation, so keep using your own judgement.

Keep everything in Reloop chat

If someone pushes you onto another app, sends a payment link or asks for a code from an SMS, stop and report them.

Meet somewhere sensible

A mall, a building lobby or a busy public spot for small items. For home pickups, have someone with you.

Ready to sell?

Listing is free and one photo is enough to begin. You confirm every detail before it goes live.

Questions sellers ask

What can I sell on Reloop in Dubai?
Personal items you own and can hand over: furniture, electronics, phones and gadgets, fashion, beauty and personal care, books, music, gaming, sports gear, collectibles and watches. Cars have their own flow. Anything on the prohibited items list cannot be listed.
Is it free to list?
Yes. Creating an account and publishing a listing on Reloop is free today. There is no listing fee and no subscription.
Does Reloop handle payments?
Not yet. Reloop does not process payments between buyers and sellers, and there is no escrow or buyer protection. You agree payment and handover directly with the other person.
Can I sell several items before moving?
Yes. A Moving Sale keeps everything you are clearing out together under one group with your timeline, instead of a dozen separate posts.
Can I sell a car?
Yes, through the separate Reloop Cars flow, which asks for vehicle details such as year, mileage and specification. It is not the same form as a normal item.
